How advanced the city is depends on what city you're residing in.

Hey guys. For those of you who fight, or fight and storyline do you think adding a Win and Loss counter in the Character Sheet Template to add onto every time you win and lose a match is a good or bad idea?

One thing that was implemented, very well I might add, in another forum that was heavily setting based, like this one, is the possibility for entirely different role-playing settings with no relation whatsoever being available as a "gaidan" or "story in a story."
The easiest way to do this, simply, is to create an in-universe drug of sorts which allows some type of hallucination that can be shared. That means, within Justice City, if people so wished, they could...eh, I dunno. Go recreate Legend Of Zelda with their own characters. Or role-play in a high fantasy world exclusively. It prevents the need for arguments about the story-line being constricting, while allowing maximum storytelling.
Naturally there would be the need for them to have their own sub-section so that the threads don't get all intermingled with those in Justice City itself, and the stories taking place "elsewhere."
Sound good?

Again, another suggestion. Constantly updating (well, not constantly, but fuckitwhateverlol) character powers and histories. A reward system for active participation I've seen work (and very well that is) is the ability to update an older power or ability/item, or add a new one entirely.
The best place to implement this in story events, after their conclusion. The character is rewarded, the player is rewarded, and the world keeps evolving.
And of course a character's history will evolve over time, so there can be a huge difference between Bob 1.0 and Bob 5.0 (Who has participated in the story.) while they're still the same character.
While I love having more than one character, this makes it so there can be a shit ton of experimenting with characters so that you don't need to have ten characters per user, when they can have three or four fully flushed out ones.

These are beautiful suggestions, Moth! I'm digging both of them and will work towards implementing them in the near future. Keep em coming bud!

Captain brainstormer aka the guy who gives too many suggestions here again; a lot of forums that are a sub-website have an "article discussion page." This obviously isn't a news website or anything, but I can see a way this could be implemented.
Posting on peoples' character pages is a mess and causes clutter. But, that kinda rules out all forms of meta-discussion centered on that character.
So I propose character discussion pages. Each approved character has his own discussion page. In this, criticism, questions, and advice could be given, as well as a discussion on his interactions with other characters in the setting.
